This week, a friendship hike from Bovec, via Skutnik, to the Italian mountain of Cot, or Malga Cot in Italian, was organised by the Public Institute of the Triglav National Park (JZ TNP), the Natural Park of the Julian Foothills and the municipalities of Bovec on the Slovenian side and Rezia on the Italian side. As befits a cross-border march, the participation was also international or cross-border.
The French Embassy in Slovenia organised a celebration of the French National Day in Ljubljana yesterday. The ceremony was also attended by Dr Tit Potočnik, Director of the Triglav National Park Public Institution (TNP). He and the French Ambassador to Slovenia, Florence Levy, discussed the deepening of professional cooperation.
Our fieldworkers observe many herb pickers in the meadows and other areas of the Triglav National Park. Some of them collect herbs in the first and second protection zones, where it is forbidden, and there are also those who exceed the permitted amounts of herbs for non-commercial purposes. We have therefore compiled some information to help visitors.
