On the first day (Friday, 25 September 2026), we will set off at 9:00 AM from the Soča River Source Hut to the Small Soča Gorge before the village of Soča.
On the second day (Saturday, 26 September 2026), at 9:00 AM from the Small Soča Gorge (Kamp Korita) to Bovec.
Guided tours are free of charge.
Hikers can participate in either one or both stages.
The Soča Trail is an easy, well-marked trail and the oldest nature trail in Triglav National Park, following the river for most of its route. Along the way, you will encounter numerous natural and cultural attractions, including the karstic Soča River Source, the Julius Kugy Monument, the Mlinarica Gorge, the Juliana Alpine Botanical Garden, the historic centre of Trenta at the church, and numerous viewpoints. The entire trail from the Soča River Source to Bovec is 27 km long.
The organiser will provide transport for drivers of private cars back to the starting point.
DURATION AND DIFFICULTY:
Each stage takes approximately 5 hours and is considered easy.
EQUIPMENT:
Hiking footwear and suitable hiking clothing.
