PROGRAM
Meeting point: Breginj (at the fountain) at 8:00 AM
Duration: 6–7 hours
Difficulty: Moderately challenging hike
Price: Free of charge
The hike will be led by a local tourist guide, while the birdwatching part of the programme will be professionally guided by a representative of the BirdLife Slovenia (DOPPS).
Participants should bring suitable hiking footwear, hiking poles if needed, and enough food and drinks for the hike.
For birdwatching, we also recommend bringing binoculars, if you have them. Binoculars allow for more detailed observation of birds and their behaviour from an appropriate distance without disturbing them. Cameras, a bird identification guide and a field notebook are also welcome.
We recommend wearing clothing in subdued colours, as this helps minimise disturbance to wildlife. During the birdwatching activities, we will also keep noise to a minimum and maintain a respectful attitude towards nature.
The event will be held in Slovenian and English.

The event is part of the Soča Valley Hiking and Cycling Festival programme. It aims to introduce participants to the natural heritage of the Stol area, with an emphasis on sustainable experiences of the landscape and birdwatching in their natural habitat.
