A passionate self-taught photographer and mountain enthusiast, Pogačar has spent many years exploring nature through the lens of his camera. His work is deeply inspired by the alpine world, where he spends much of his time hiking, ski touring, and discovering remote mountain landscapes. One of his most memorable experiences took place beneath Mount Everest, where he witnessed the full moon rising directly above the summit.
For more than a decade, he has been a member of Foto klub Triglavski narodni park, regularly exhibiting his work and receiving awards for his photography. His images capture both the grandeur and intimacy of the natural world, shaped by patience, curiosity, and a lifelong dedication to observation.
The exhibition title Up, Down and About reflects the spirit of both mountain journeys and life itself: the paths we take are rarely straight, often filled with climbs, descents, and unexpected turns — yet they offer the most rewarding views.
The exhibition will be on view until 20 September 2026.
