JULIAN ALPS, photography exhibition by Dan Briški

More about the exhibition JULIAN ALPS:

Dan Briški is a photographer of mountain landscapes and, as a mountaineer, a great admirer of the Julian Alps in all their cross-border expanse. He is especially fond of the Trenta Valley and the peaks surrounding it.

Last year in Morocco, UNESCO awarded the Julian Alps the distinguished title of the Julian Alps Transboundary Biosphere Reserve. Its core areas are Triglav National Park on the Slovenian side and the Julian Prealps Natural Park in Italy.

To celebrate this cross-border recognition—that nature and its protection know no boundaries—Dan Briški selected photographs from his extensive body of work for this remarkable exhibition, aiming to capture and present the Julian Alps as a unified mountain range.

The exhibition invites visitors to admire, explore, and truly recognize a priceless natural wealth, while reminding us of our responsibility toward our shared mountain heritage.
