The Soča Trail is the oldest park trail, following the emerald Soča River from its source to Bovec. The river connects both well-known and hidden parts of the Trenta Valley and its natural and cultural treasures. A special attraction of the trail are the picturesque footbridges that cross the river multiple times.
Our oldest and largest information centre, Dom Trenta, was opened in July 1995, which means it celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Dom Trenta is not just an information centre with exhibitions, a presentation film, and the Trenta Museum, but also a venue for educational events and gatherings, as well as an important meeting point for locals and other stakeholders. The story of the idea and the realisation of the Trenta Information and Educational Centre 30 years ago will be shared with the participants of the walk by Janez Bizjak, who was the director of the Triglav National Park Public Institute at that time.
