National Park Administration

The management of the Triglav National Park is the responsibility of the Triglav National Park Public Institution, based in Bled. The TNP Public Institution, led by Director, Martin Šolar, MS operates under the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning of RS. The professional and common services of the TNP Authority permanently employ 24 people, the Professional Ranger Service employs 20 people and another 7 people work at the TNP Information Centre, the Trenta Lodge (Dom Trenta).

Who we are and what we do
The Triglav National Park Public Institution takes an active part in the activities aimed at ensuring proper understanding and management of the Triglav National Park area as well as care and support to the development activities that will bring the places and organisations in the area the European recognition they deserve and establish the TNP Public Institution as the leading organisation in the search for expert solutions in nature conservation and sustainable use of natural resources and as a coordinator of development efforts in the area of the Julian Alps. The Triglav National Park Public Institution is becoming a place where different interests – nature conservation, economic, recreational, social and cultural – meet and interact to fulfill one purpose: to provide for such development of the Julian Alps that will preserve and secure all the functions of the environment for the future generations. The only way to achieve this goal is by continuing to work together so that every village in the Triglav National Park, every organisation and every individual will contribute to the economic, social, and cultural performance of the areas at the foot of Triglav.
