Publications

The publications produced by the Triglav National Park are an essential part of joint efforts of the TNP Public Institution to present the park and the activities within and outside its borders to the general public. They are a record of development, research and education activities aimed at preserving the natural, cultural and spiritual assets of the park and its national and international role.

The publications are intended for various target groups, mainly visitors, local inhabitants and the professional public. Only a few publications, however, are designed to meet the expectations of all the mentioned groups. Such is the newsletter Svet pod Triglavom (World at the Foot of Triglav) which is considered the park's most generalized publication. Guide books will be appreciated by more demanding readers, even scientists, whereas the TNP leaflets are intended for visitors who wish to obtain some fast facts on the place they are visiting. Triglavski razgledi as a newsletter with an expressed scientific and educational character is mainly intended for the professional public.

These are just a few of the publications produced by the TNP as the dynamics of the national park continues to bring new challenges and, consequently, new demands also in the field of publishing.
