PALPIS - cross-border cooperation and cross-border management plans for conservation important areas in the southern Julian Alps (Interreg IIIA Slovenia-Italy)

This project includes the TNP, the Prealpi Giulie Nature Park and the municipalities of the project area on both sides of the state border with the purpose of establishing a management plan for the cross-border areas important for nature conservation. This area includes the Prealpi Giulie Nature Park, pSPA of the northern part of the Prealpi Giulie and the Natura 2000 sites within the UNESCO MaB Julian Alps Biosphere Reserve in the municipalities of Bovec and Kobarid.

The preparation and the implementation of the plan will be a joint effort conducted in line with the procedures, which will involve all interested individuals, representatives of the municipalities, local communities, other management bodies in this area, interest associations, societies, economic operators, etc.
